2018 Fire Chief's Resource Symposium to Be Held in September

Back by popular demand is the fourth Fire Chief’s Resource Symposium, Building a Toolbox to Lead a Successful Fire Department. Made available through the generous support of the Dominion Foundation, the Symposium will be held September 22-23, 2018 at Deer Creek State Park. This two-day program provides the Fire Chief with a basic tool box of information, resources, and contacts that he/she can use to provide a solid foundation toward the operation of a successful fire department.

Those who attended the Fire Chief's Resource Symposium last year commented that:

  • "This course was very well thought out and appreciated. It is a very informative bit of information that assists with the challenges of a new chief".
  • "I learned a considerable amount of new information and benefited from networking with the veteran fire chiefs".
  • "Wish there was another whole day. Could not get enough".
